Purpose and Goals

The purpose of the Staff Council is to promote the welfare of the staff and to enhance the role of staff within the College. The Staff Council will engage in the following activities in order to realize these goals:

• Meet on a monthly basis, or as needed, to review staff comments/questions/suggestions
• Meet with the entire staff every semester (spring and fall) to provide updates and invite feedback. 
• Poll staff as needed regarding items of perceived interest.
• Inform staff of suggested policy changes which are pending approval or have been approved by administration.
• Maintain a diverse membership, as outlined under "Election of Staff Representatives to Staff Council", to assure a consistent, non-biased, cross-section of participating staff.
• Act as the vehicle for staff in directing issues to PPBC and Senior Administrators.
