General Education Requirements
CLASS OF 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012 (Revised April 2008)
COURSES WHICH SATISFY THE SEVEN AREAS
IN THE PROGRAM OF GENERAL EDUCATION
Students will complete one course from each of the seven Areas, taken in seven different departments. Each of these courses must be worth at least four credit hours. Any exceptions to the seven department rule must be approved by the Committee on Academic Standing. The courses will normally be completed by the end of the sophomore year. Any student who is placed by the instructor or the department in a course for which the prerequisite meets a general education requirement in a given area shall be deemed to have fulfilled that area requirement upon satisfactory completion of the course.
