Great Wall, Beijing, 03/17/04. The Mutianyu section of the Great Wall is uncharacteristically quite on this sunny Wednesday morning. Well-known for the higher than 70% of plantation coverage rates on the hills it stands on, Mutianyu, however , still looks barren as the leaves are barely sprouting from tree branches at this time of our visit.
