Yuhuatai, Nanjing 3/20/04. Although these students came to visit a Communist monument, Eric Schluessel '04 is the only one gazing boldly into the future.   In the background, one of their teachers tries to keep the sizable group together. Unlike most members of the generation that grew up during the Cultural Revolution, the young people we met were curious yet comfortable in the company of foreigners.   These high schoolers, resplendent in standard-issue students' tracksuits and Maoist red cravats, display every clichéd photograph pose known in mainland China.
