The Japanese and Chinese film collections allow students to hear the language and interact with people in many different situations. Chinese and Japanese films can be found in the East Asian Languages and Cultures department offices (Woodworth House), Shain Library, and the Language Lab.

For elementary through advanced Chinese and Japanese language learning, the Language Lab in Blaustein Humanities Building has:

CD-ROMs
Computer software
DVDs

The East Asian Student Advisory Board is made up of sophomores, juniors and seniors. This group has responsibility for several important tasks, including administering student evaluations for courses within the major and meeting with the faculty to discuss faculty and curriculum issues. In addition, the Student Advisory Board suggests and helps organize extracurricular activities, including lectures, field trips, and special events at Parents' Weekend and commencement.
