Environmental Studies

Study Away

Catch of the day for a Conn student at Woods Hole.

Connecticut College encourages its students to study away or abroad. Numerous Study Abroad programs offering environmental studies opportunities are available through the Office of National and International Programs.

Connecticut College is also part of a consortium of colleges that participate in a semester-away program in environmental sciences at the Ecosystems Center at the Marine Biological Laboratory, Woods Hole, MA. The program offers an intensive immersion in ecological sciences that emphasizes hands-on laboratory and research experience.

The curriculum consists of an aquatic ecosystems course, a terrestrial ecosystems course, an elective, an independent research project, and a science writing seminar.
