German Studies

Summer Study Away in Weimar

Reflections by Jared

While in Germany, I studied at the 8th European Summer Academy in Weimar. Students from 30 countries participated in this program ... practicing and studying German in many different levels of proficiency.

I was able to do a little travelling during the 30 days I spent in Weimar. Here I am in First Class on the train.

The Main Square in Weimar was a meeting point for most of the students. Here (above) is the "Goetheplatz," where we all caught the bus to and from classes.

This is a photo of my class of 10 students. The small class size helped us all get to know one another. Nine countries were represented in my class alone. I recommend you try this program. There's a lot to see in Weimar!
