The Children’s Museum is a wonderful setting that offers children ages one and up many activities designed to enhance all areas of children’s development through fantasy play, creativity, and hands-on exploration.

Inside the museum, “Global Village” offers children up to age 8 an opportunity to experience different cultures from around the world through music, clothing, and much more.

The Discovery Room is full of hands-on learning.  Everything in the room (except the snake!) is meant to be touched and explored by little hands.  Musical instruments (including a real pipe organ), microscopes, bones, reptiles, a kaleidoscope and even a mini-planetarium all await eager explorers.

Outside, older children can climb aboard a submarine.  Young and old can play in the museum’s garden that is designed for nature activities like fossil digs and water play.

Children are guaranteed to have fun and learn at this museum!

Developmental Hints:
    - Dramatic play promotes social and cognitive development.
    - Children under age five typically use symbolic play based on realistic experience.
    - Young children learn through activity - moving, exploring, and acting on objects.
