Make a book – use photos or have your children draw pictures and write about all the modes of transportation.  

Look at books with pictures of transportation from the early 1900's.  Ask the children how things have changed?  How do they think we'll be getting around in another 50 years? 

Have your children make train cars and buses out of milk cartons wrapped in construction paper or just use cardboard boxes and other recycled items to create transportation centers and vehicles.
