Why study Italian?

Learning to speak Italian and acquiring a deep appreciation of Italian culture can open the door to excellent careers in international business, fashion and design, the arts, tourism, and diplomacy.

The study of Italian provides a wonderfully broad and rich liberal arts foundation for further education at the graduate level in any profession.

Some students major in Italian because they are of Italian heritage and are interested in discovering their roots.

Italy is a wealthy country with one of the world's largest economies. Mastering Italian can enable one to combine good employment with fine living.
