SATA India 2008
Courses
SATA India 2008 will be based once again in the South Indian city of Mysore, taking advantage of the generous cooperation of the faculty of the JSS Mahavidyapeetha and the University of Mysore.The program is structured to allow for total immersion in Indian studies. All classes are open to Indian students and Connecticut College students are free to audit other courses not part of the SATA program.
Courses available for SATA 2008: Gezari and Brodkin courses carry four credits. Other courses are three credits except for yoga which is one

- Ancient History/Archaeology 274, Hindu Temple Architecture
- Kannada 103, Introductory Kannada (the language of Karnataka)
- Hindi 103, Introductory Hindi
- Sociology 284, Women and Society in India
- Environmental Studies 242, Ecology and Conservation of Natural Habitats in India
- Dance 211, Classical Indian Dance Bharatha Natyam
- Yoga 101, An Introduction to Yoga
