SATA Mexico 2002The SATA Mexico 2002 program, under the direction of Harold Juli, Professor of Anthropology, was centered at the Universdad de las Americas-Puebla, in the city of Puebla, about 80 miles east of Mexico City. The program ran from January through May, 2002. Anthropology courses on the Archaeology of North America and the Historical Archaeology of Hispanic America were given by Connecticut College Professor of Anthropology Harold Juli. Accompanying field trips were features of SATA Mexico, taking place from January through May, 2002. The field trips focused on archaeology and native societies. The group visited three sites: an urban locale in Mexico City, a historic mission church, and a hacienda. Courses at the University could be taken in either Spanish or English. A student did not need a previous knowledge of Spanish to participate in the program. Universidad de las Americas-Puebla
