SATA Prague 2005 BlogThe Sata Prague Bloggers
The SATA Prague blog (short for "Web log") contains the reflections and commentary by Connecticut College student Marina Ivanova '06, and Andrew "Buzzy" Napoli, on their experiences in Prague, Czech Republic, while on one of Connecticut College's unique Study Away/Teach Away programs - SATA PRAGUE 2005 - the third such program there under the direction of Eva Eckert, Professor of Slavic Studies, and department chair. Marina, a Slavic Studies major, a student writer for the Connecticut College Office of College Relations is Bulgarian-born, and she left that country in 1996 returning to Europe for the first time since then. Professor Eckert says Prague “is not easily assimilated by Americans.” Eva, a Prague native, offered her postings too. Eva's two children were there with her; her seventeen-year-old daughter helped with the CC students' assimilation to the city, and her younger daughter attended elementary school.
