The Eva Butler Award

Conferred on the senior anthropology student with the highest GPA in the major. The late Eva L. Butler was an anthropologist, archaeologist, historian and naturalist who studied Connecticut Native Americans and colonial history.

The B. June Macklin Award

Conferred on a senior anthropology major for high academic achievement and extra-curricular activity. June Macklin was a founding member of the Department of Anthropology and taught at Connecticut College for 40 years. She retired in 1997.

The Claire Garber Goodman '54 Award

Conferred on a senior anthropology major for high academic achievement and dedication to anthropology. Claire Garber Goodman '54 was a student, scholar and advocate of anthropological research. She received her Master’s degree in anthropology from New York University in 1978.
