Study Away



You will find that Connecticut College offers numerous remarkable study-away opportunities for Italian majors and minors.

  • Spend either one semester or one year in Italy through a great variety of study abroad programs in some of the major Italian cities, including Venice, Bologna, Florence, Siena, Perugia, Rome and Palermo.
  • Enroll in the "Intensive Italian Through Culture" summer program at the Umbra Institute in Perugia led by Professor Robert Proctor. View the video!
  • Apply to a Study Away/ Teaching Away program, semester-long courses of study with Connecticut College professors to enhance their knowledge of Italian art, music, literature, film, traditions, politics and economics.

You can also combine funded internships, research and coursework in Italy and earn a certificate by applying to our innovative interdisciplinary centers.
