Our faculty are interested in your creativity, commitment, and passion for theater in whatever form it may take and welcomes materials that demonstrate your work as an actor, director, playwright, designer, technician or writer about theater.

We encourage you to schedule an interview with a member of the theater faculty to discuss Connecticut College's theater major, and your theatrical interests and experiences. Be sure to schedule an interview well in advance, as our faculty have very full schedules. Also, please be sure to schedule an interview before the Admission application deadline. During the academic year, please call Dotty Jo Scott, Academic Assistant for the Theater Department, at (860) 439-2605 between the hours of 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. for an appointment. If no one is in the office when you call, leave a detailed message with a phone number and time when you can be reached. Someone will get back to you as soon as possible.

If you are unable to schedule a visit to campus, please submit a video no longer than 5 minutes of you speaking to the camera and describing your activities in theater, your special interest, and how you find creativity through theater. If you are an actor, please include two contrasting monologues no longer than 1.5 minutes each, and 2 minutes of you speaking directly to camera addressing why you chose the pieces and what you’re looking for in a college level theater program. Please be sure to be well lit, in front of a neutral background, and arrange for good sound quality. Please do not submit recordings of live performances.
