Barbara provides administrative assistance to the Dean of the Faculty and works with the Dean, as well as CAPT, on faculty personnel issues such as hiring, promotion and tenure, re-appointments, salary and the staffing plan. She coordinates special events for the office and is staff support for the Dean of the Faculty to the Board of Trustees.
Amanda provides general support for faculty governance, including FSCC, AAPC, PPBC, EPC and faculty meetings. She sets meeting dates, prepares agendas, minutes, etc. The Secretary maintains IFF and curricular changes as well as email lists for the server. Amanda is the person to contact to schedule appointments with the Dean of the Faculty and with the Associate Dean of the Faculty. Amanda provides all administrative support for the Associate Dean of the Faculty.
Tapi works with the Dean of the Faculty and the Associate Dean of the Faculty on all aspects of visiting faculty appointments. She is the person to contact for all new, visiting and tenure-track faculty hires. Tapi maintains personnel files, tracks sabbatical requests and eligibility and other personnel schedules. She is the liaison with Human Resources on all processes and special projects.
Mary Ellen Deschenes
Mary Ellen is the contact person for all funds administered through the Office of the Dean of the Faculty including: endowed chairs, R.F. Johnson and Hodgkin funds, Research Matters, Faculty/Student Engagement, faculty searches, relocation expenses, and visiting committees, etc. She is the liaison with Accounting for processing receipts for reimbursement requests and cash vouchers.
As affirmative action officer, Judy oversees faculty hiring and policies/procedures for claims of discrimination and harassment. As Title IX administrator, she oversees campus prevention, investigation, and training regarding sexual assault and harassment. She also coordinates faculty search processes, new faculty orientation, and Faculty@Work program.Affirmative Action Office
John designs studies of campus policies and programs to inform institutional decision-making, fosters informed program improvement via collection, analysis, and reporting of campus data, maintains major institutional data sets reported to external agencies; completes or coordinates major institutional surveys and supports the College's enrollment and planning efforts.
