Charlie has taught all levels of students from general to AP in his thirty years of teaching high school. During his years in the 9-12 classroom he was a trained State of CT Cooperating Teacher & Mentor and has served as a cooperating teacher for 12 student teachers from various colleges and universities. He achieved a second Master's degree in Psychology, MA from SCSU in 2006. His Master's thesis focused on students' perceptions of teachers based on race and type of school, urban or suburban. At Connecticut College he teaches EDU 457, Student Teaching at the 7-12 level, EDU 300 Teaching and Learning in the Content Area, and has taught EDU 453 Seminar in Critical Pedagogy in the past. He has published articles on teaching psychology in Introduction to the Perspectives of Psychology, Psychology Teaching Network and history, Letters from Vietnam - Original Source Research, Yankee Post, and the CCSS Journal.
