A Multicultural Leadership Program for High School Seniors

Explore Weekend 2012: October 6-8 and November 3-5

Connecticut College values the diversity of its students, faculty and staff, embracing the community's wide range of religions, ethnicities, sexual orientations and socioeconomic backgrounds.

As the College continues to increase its diversity, Explore Weekend is one of the most important programs the admission office sponsors. The purpose of Explore is to bring high achieving students who are interested in issues of diversity to our campus to further "explore" Connecticut College. Explore

Each year, Connecticut College sponsors Explore Weekend during the fall for high school seniors. Explore is designed to acquaint you with a liberal arts college experience and, more specifically, how Connecticut College  prepares students for successful careers in a global community. Explore participants will have an opportunity to experience and participate in the following activities as part of our program:

  • Tour the campus
  • Interview for admission
  • Stay overnight with a host in a residence hall
  • Learn the ins and outs of financial aid
  • Attend Explore Weekend classes and engage in dialogue
  • Meet College deans and professors
  • Learn about our home city, New London, through a community service project
