'Revolution in the Internet Era'
Fernando Espuelas ’88, an entrepreneur, author and technological trailblazer, will speak on the topic 'Revolution in the Internet Era' in John C. Evans Hall, Cummings Arts Center, at 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 24.
As a young CEO Espuelas became a symbol of the technology revolution and was named a ‘Leader for the New Millennium’ by Time Magazine.
He is the founder of VOY, building connections between Latins through the internet, television, radio and publishing. He previously founded StarMedia Network, an Internet company that grew to serve 25 million people throughout Latin America and the world.
At Connecticut College, Espuelas majored in history and was on the staff of The College Voice. He is married to Ann Louise Clark Espuelas '88.
His talk is sponsored by the Toor Cummings Center for International Studies and the Liberal Arts.
