Gifts that keep on giving
Few programs affect what takes place on the Connecticut College campus on a day-to-day basis like the Annual Fund. Each dollar raised directly benefits today’s students, supporting nearly every aspect of the Connecticut College experience.
This June, the College is making an unprecedented push for annual giving to mobilize alumni, parents and friends as the Campaign for Connecticut College draws to a close. The Campaign has already raised more than $200 million through the generosity of more than 6,000 annual givers – but it’s not over yet.
The College has set a goal of reaching 2,000 donors by June 30, and is well on the way to achieving that goal. As of June 14, nearly 700 donors have contributed gifts of all sizes this year to the College through the Annual Fund.
This year, giving to Connecticut College is easier than ever. A new website lets you make an online gift, keep tabs on the progress of the June push and see what other donors are saying about why they give. You can share your reasons for giving, too, by using the hashtag #2KinJune on Twitter.
“Annual giving is key to supporting the people and programs that distinguish Connecticut College,” said Anna Longstaff ’00, director of annual giving. “We’re confident that the loyalty of our alumni, parents and friends will help us reach out goal of 2,000 donors to the Annual Fund and, importantly, make a difference in the life of every student and faculty member on campus.”
