LETTER FROM THE REUNION PLANNING COMMITTEE
January 2008
Can you believe that nearly 25 years have past since we graduated from Conn? Neither can I. With two teenagers, it's hard for me to live in that eternally youthful state of denial but I do and we will for one transporting weekend at the very end of May.
The 25th reunion will be a blast. I hope you will make every effort to come back to campus to celebrate and catch up with your fellow ageless friends. We have a terrific and energetic reunion committee that is working closely with the Alumni Office to plan an extra special reunion weekend for the Class of '83. If you'd like to join the committee and/or offer your input, just let us know. We've launched our very own class webpage on the College's website as well as a fun reunion Facebook page.
I hope you will join me and the rest of the committee in making an annual fund gift in honor of our 25th reunion. We have set a class goal to raise a Reunion gift of $250,000 and achieve at least 60% participation. For those of you, who respond to competition, the class with the best reunion participation ever is, you guessed it, us. We topped 54% for the 20 th to set the mark. If we all pull together, we can top the 20th and reach our 25th goals. By doing so, we'll be able to properly honor the strength of our class and our ongoing commitment to the College.
Your participation is what is most important this year. If all of us give something, you'll be surprised how quickly our collective gifts can add up. So please join us—your gift, no matter the size, can make a real difference and help transform the lives of current students at Connecticut College.
Mark your calendar for May 30th – June 1st and write that check now—or better yet here's another link: http://giving.conncoll.edu. I wish you a happy New Year, and thank you very much for supporting Connecticut College in honor of our 25th.
With warm regards,
Dan Wistman '83
