Celebration VII Schedule of Events
June 1 – June 3, 2007

Friday, June 1

9 a.m. – 8 p.m.  Welcome home! Check in at the registration desk to get important information for the weekend’s festivities.

3:05 – 4:05 p.m.  Open house with Lee and Ann Higdon

4 – 5 p.m.  Open house at Unity! Come meet the new directors and hear what’s going on with Unity.

5 p.m.  Refreshments in Plant

5:30 – 6:30 p.m.  Wine tasting

6:30 p.m.  New England Lobster Bake. Enjoy an al fresco lobster dinner straight from Maine in a setting that can’t be beat. Barbeque and vegetarian options are available.

8 – 9:30 p.m.  Live on Stage – the Capitol Steps comedy troupe.

9 p.m.  Martini bar with jazz in Plant – drop by your hospitality headquarters and catch up with friends.


Saturday, June 2

7 – 9 a.m.  Breakfast in Harris

8 a.m.  Breakfast with the Alumni Association Board of Directors for members of the Connecticut College Alumni of Color (CCAC) committee.

10 a.m.  Create a spectacle! Bring the kids and dress up for the parade by making your own sunglasses, hats and signs to wear during the parade.

10:20 a.m.  Annual Parade of Classes. Who doesn’t love a parade? Show your pride and join your Celebration group for this Reunion tradition.

10:45 a.m.  Alumni Convocation

Noon – 1:30 p.m.  All campus lunch – Fourth of July in June!

Noon  Family time on the Green. Face painting; balloon and caricature artists; a moonwalk; Slip ’n Slide; an arts and crafts table; and animal visitors. Something for children of all ages.

1 – 3 p.m.  CCAC executive committee meeting.

2:15 – 3:15 p.m.  Selective College Admissions: Get the inside scoop with Martha C. Merrill ’84, dean of admission and financial aid.

3:15 – 5:15 p.m.  Looking back, stepping forward – a panel discussion with past and present Unity House directors.

4:20 – 5:20 p.m.  Honor Your Faculty – a reception for the faculty who taught us.

5:30 – 6:30 p.m.  Reception for all Celebration VII participants.

8 – 10 p.m.  Celebration dinner with foods from around the globe.

10:30 p.m.  Unity House party.


Sunday, June 3

7 – 10:45 a.m.  One last hurrah. Celebration breakfast in Harris.

11 a.m.  Deadline for residence hall check out.
