Architectural Studies
We call our program Architectural Studies, rather than Architecture, to make it clear that our goals and aspirations are distinct from those of a professional program. The Architectural Studies program is housed within the department of Art History and Architectural Studies.
If you select this major or minor, you are choosing to expand your outlook, embrace a broad understanding of architecture, and experience the insights that emerge from considering architecture and the cultural landscape from a range of disciplinary perspectives.
Recent graduates of Connecticut College have matriculated at Columbia, MIT, Michigan, Penn, UC Berkeley, Syracuse, Parsons, Pratt and the University of Florida for graduate study in Architecture, Landscape Architecture, Urban and Environmental Planning and Design, Interior Design, Historic Prservation and Architectural History. Please visit the Architectural Studies Program site for complete information about our program.
