The Connecticut College men´s basketball team enters the 2009-2010 season with great optimism. 10/10/06 2006-2007 Season Preview
The Connecticut College men's basketball team is eager for the start of the 2006-2007 season. After three seasons of rebuilding, the Camels made significant progress last year, posting a 13-11 record, the program's best since 2002. The Camels also qualified for the NESCAC Tournament for the first time in four seasons and won more games than in the previous two seasons combined. In 2007, Head Coach Tom Satran's team will again be young but this will be the most experienced group he has coached. With another strong recruiting class in place, the coaching staff and players are looking forward to the first official practice on November 1 and the opportunity to improve their teamwork, camaraderie and win total. In so doing, they plan to move closer to their goal of climbing the NESCAC standings and returning to the NCAA Tournament in the near future. »

If sports truly mirror society, than Jahkeen Washington will be ready for any adversity he may face on the basketball court. Washington, a junior economics major from New York, NY, is one of the key building blocks for the resurgent Camel men's basketball program. Washington is coming off a productive junior season for himself and the team. The Camels finished 13-11 and qualified for the post-season for the first time since 2002. The Connecticut College men's basketball team takes the floor with great anticipation in 2005-2006. Head Coach Tom Satran's team will again be young. There is only one senior on the roster and several freshman and sophomores will have the chance to play a lot of minutes. Nonetheless, as the young camels continue to grow and mature as athletes and teammates, the team appears poised for success in the new season. With another strong recruiting class in place and the coaches working hard to secure another, the staff and players are excited about their chance to develop into a NESCAC contender and an NCAA Tournament participant in the immediate future. »
