| NEW LONDON, Conn. --The Connecticut College field hockey program has been honored for its academic excellence by the National Field Hockey Coaches Association of America (NFHCA). The Camels demonstrated their academic prowess in the classroom, earning the fifth highest team grade point average in the nation with a 3.44. In addition to the team honor, 12 Camels were named to the collegiate academic squad for maintaining a 3.30 gpa through the fall semester of 2007. more... |  |

NEW LONDON, Conn.--Ileana Casellas-Katz (Denmark, Maine) and Tamara Brown (Annandale, Va.) tallied two goals apiece, leading Tufts University (11-3, 7-2) to a 5-1 victory against Connecticut College (6-8, 2-7) in a NESCAC field hockey game played on the Artificial Turf at Silfen Field Saturday. | AMHERST, Mass.--The Amherst College Lord Jeffs (8-5, 4-4) built a 4-0 lead and went on to defeat Connecticut College (6-7, 2-6) 7-2 in a NESCAC field hockey game played under the lights at Amherst, Massachusetts Tuesday night. Sophomore Molly Malloy exploded with five goals for the hosts. Senior Jill Mauer and junior Jenny Roe supplied scores for the Camels.
