Howes discusses women's wages
Forbes quotes economics Professor Candace Howes on the March "Women at Work" report by the Bureau of Labor Statistics, which shows that the gender wage gap continues to narrow. Howes explains why women out-earn men in a few select fields, like the male-dominated field of construction. "It was unionization that provided women access to these male-dominated jobs, and on average those wages are higher [than non-union jobs]," she said. View article.
