Workshops and Events
The CELS office sponsors workshops and events throughout the year. If you attend these workshops, you'll be better prepared for both your academic and career planning.
Students who complete the program have twice the placement rate at graduation than those who didn't go through the program. And they often receive job offers or make excellent contacts through their internship experience.
To guarantee that you will have a funded internship in the summer following your junior year, you must commit to attending a series of mandatory workshops by the end of your sophomore year.
What you will learn:
- the valuable process of career-related self-assessment
- how to use the e-Portfolio to build your resume
- how to search and develop contacts
- how to create effective targeted resumes and letters
- tips for presenting yourself in an interview or over the phone
- ways to apply experiential learning to your career goals
