Student Accident Insurance
All full-time students are automatically enrolled in an accident insurance plan sponsored by the College. The policy covers students who are injured while enrolled at Connecticut College, regardless of where they are when the injury occurs. This includes things like cutting a finger, tripping on a sidewalk and all sports-related injuries.
What to do if you are injured while Student Health Services is open
Please come to Student Health Services as soon as possible to receive care. While you are with us we will have you fill out an Accident Claim Form to submit to our insurance company and will give you a copy of your accident insurance card.
What to do if you are injured while Student Health Services is closed
Please print out a Temporary Accident Insurance ID Card (pdf) and fill in your ID number (it’s the same as your student ID with an extra 0 at the beginning) and be sure to give the information to the hospital or clinic you visit. If you do not have access to a printer, just write down the information from this card. Please do not give the hospital or clinic your private insurance card, as that will only create issues with billing.
Once Student Health Services is open again, please be sure to come see us and update us on your status. While you are with us we will have you fill out an Accident Claim Form to submit to our insurance company.
