The office of Student Wellness and Alcohol/Drug Education (SW/AOD) serves as a health and wellness resource for students and the entire campus community providing quality outreach education on all aspects of wellness. The SW/AOD office plays an integral part in carrying out the core values of Connecticut College, specifically education of the entire person.

Health Peer Educators
The health peer educators group is comprised of student leaders who are passionate about health promotion and committed to educating the campus on health and wellness issues facing college students. We promote living a balanced and healthy lifestyle. With the office of SW/AOD, we research, develop and present interactive workshops and training sessions on the topics of health and wellness and alcohol and other drugs.

Wellness in the Classroom
The director of SW/AOD partners with faculty from various departments to work in the classroom on wellness topics. Faculty members who are interested in integrating health and wellness into their curriculum should contact email@example.com.
CHOICES - Alcohol and Other Drug Education Workshop
CHOICES is a risk reduction and substance abuse prevention program for college students. Students are presented with information and then given the opportunity to reflect on their personal choices through personal interactive journals. The CHOICES program is presented in a non-confrontational, non-judgmental manner that enables students to make their own informed decisions about alcohol consumption and substance use. The program is facilitated by the director of Student Wellness and Alcohol/ Drug Education (SW/AOD).

BASICS (Brief Alcohol Screening and Intervention for College Students)
The primary objective of these one-on-one meetings is to assist a student in decreasing risky behaviors and the harmful effects of alcohol. For an appointment, contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
Campus Wellness Committee
The Campus Wellness Committee is a group of faculty, staff and students whose purpose is to examine campus health and wellness issues and make recommendations to enhance the campus community’s quality of life; the CWC is chaired by the director of SW/AOD.
