Student Leadership Opportunities

How can you become a student leader?

The offices of Student Life and Dean of Studies support and provide lots of opportunities for student leadership development. Staff members serve as advisers to many student leadership positions and offer training to help students develop and refine their leadership skills.

Most positions are volunteer and elected.  A few are paid positions.

Questions? Contact the Office of Student Life or Scott McEver, Director of Student Activities.

This one-day conference in September, run by the Office of Student Activities, is designed for student club and organization leaders. The conference includes skill-based workshops on topics such as program marketing, budgeting, negotiation skills, time and stress management, public speaking, running meetings, and motivating teams.

Freshmen! Take part in the Emerging Leaders Program

The Emerging Leaders Program at Connecticut College offers freshmen a unique opportunity to discover their leadership potential through workshops, group activities, and an intensive retreat.
