Relax, recharge at the Coffee Grounds Café 

Coffee Grounds, a student-run venue located in Katherine Blunt (KB) House, offers a cool place to kick back, relax, study and enjoy some great espresso, coffee, hot chocolate and fresh-baked cookies, brownies and other goodies. Coffee Grounds hosts special events throughout the year including live music, poetry readings and open mic nights, and welcomes campus-group meetings. 

Free time? Need to unwind? Visit Lambdin Game Room

The Lambdin game room is a great spot to relax with friends and unwind after a busy day or hectic week.  Located on the ground floor of Lambdin House, it offers plenty of table games including foosball, ping pong, air hockey and pool; dozens of board games, a poker table and picture puzzles; wall-mounted televisions, an in-house sound system and comfortable couches and chairs.

Gathering at Unity House

Every day at Unity, the College's multicultural center, you can find students of all backgrounds sharing in the community as they find spaces of comfort in the lounge areas, and evenings, gathering with friends to prepare a meal in the kitchen. Some days, there are culturally affirming and educational programs during cultural-themed months.

Favorite study spaces

A student does her research surrounded by the beauty and quiet of the new Linda Lear Center for Special Collections and Archives in Shain Library. Besides your own room, you'll find other favorite spaces to apply yourself to academics: Harkness Chapel Library, the Charles Chu Room in Shain Library and Greer Music Library in Cummings Arts Center. And when the weather warms, the Ad Astra Garden, the Tempel Green and sunny benches offer you outdoor study venues.

Blue Camel Café

The Blue Camel Café, located on the lower level of Shain Library, offers a variety of specialty coffees, teas, snacks and baked goods. In a comfortable, relaxed setting with wireless access you can check e-mail, enjoy a cappuccino, read a newspaper, watch close-captioned CNN for the latest news, or meet with friends or a faculty member in the casual seating area.
