The offices of Student Life support the mission of Connecticut College: to educate students to put the liberal arts into action as citizens in a global society.
This is accomplished by fostering the intellectual development, personal growth, leadership, and civic responsibility in a diverse body of students. We are committed to student learning and development, and are guided by the philosophy that student engagement and empowerment are essential ingredients for the success of Connecticut College students now and in the future.
The offices of Student Life comprise:
- residential education and living
- student activities
- student counseling services
- student discipline processes
- student health services
- student leadership development
- student wellness and health education
The office of the Dean of Student Life:
- provides "first-response" support to victims of bias incidents and sexual misconduct
- serves as primary advisers to the Student Government Association (SGA)
- manages an evening and weekend on-call response system
- administers a student emergency fund and student loan fund
- provides general support for students and family members regarding campus problems or crises
