Dining Services
Our Mission
We understand that just because you have to eat on campus doesn't mean that we won't treat you like a customer. Customer satisfaction is our number one concern.
We are self-operated
What does this mean? It means all department employees work for the College and not a corporation trying to make a profit. We do not use an outside food service. The only "profit" we seek is smiles!
Dining Services belongs to a professional organization called the National Association of College & University Food Services (NACUFS). This organization comprises approximately 750 colleges and universities, most of which are self-operated.
Environmental stewardship
Dining Services is proud to say we are stewards of the environment, with programs that help reduce waste and support local farmers. We currently have a partnership with the on-campus organic garden, Sprout! We buy their produce grown right on campus and serve it to you in our dining halls. Watch a video about Sprout!
We compost all of our organic matter on campus that provides the organic garden and community farmers with healthy and vibrant soil. It is the circle of life right here on campus.
Lastly, Dining Services has created a trayless environment in all our dining halls to help educate students about how much food is wasted when you have extra space on your tray. It has been a great success, with a 16% food waste reduction.
Let us hear from you!
You may contact management staff by e-mail, napkin notes or by calling them on the phone. We are always interested in students' suggestions because they makes us better!
Bon Appetit!
