Beaver Brook Fund

George J. Willauer, Charles J. MacCurdy Professor Emeritus of American Studies, Professor Emeritus of English and College Marshal Emeritus, joined the Connecticut College faculty in 1962. He retired in 2002. Since 2000, he served as chair of the English Department, a position he also held from 1971 to 1976 and from 1991 to 1994. With his wife, Cynthia Cameron Thun Willauer, a 1972 graduate of Connecticut College, he established the Beaver Brook endowed Fund to be used to inform and inspire the New London community about environmental issues and to attract visiting specialists in American and/or African American literature.
