Supporting CISLA scholars
Information Services at the Charles E. Shain Library is a fountain of information regarding internships and area studies. The very knowledgeable library staff is on hand to assist with research. CISLA has developed a mentor program between the librarians and CISLA Scholars to educate students in research and bibliography methods. For more information, please contact CISLA's Associate Director for Library and Technological Services Jim MacDonald.
The Language Lab, located in Blaustein Humanities Center, supports all foreign language courses and provides materials and multimedia stations for course work.
Knowlton House is the student residence where foreign language majors practice language skills in daily situations. Students and faculty alike lunch at the language tables where no English is allowed!
The Office of National and International Programs, located next door to the CISLA office in Fanning Hall, has detailed information about traditional semester and year study abroad programs, SATA Study Away/Teach Away programs, and current TRIP - Traveling Research and Immersion Programs.
