Getting Here

It's easy to visit Connecticut College! Our campus is very accessible by car, and there is ferry, trainbus and air service to the region. And once you're on campus, it's very easy to get around.

By Car

From Albany, New York (about 3.5 hours) and points Northwest:
Take I-90 East (toward Boston) to Springfield, Massachusetts, exit to I-91 South to Hartford. In Hartford, take Route 2 South toward New London/Norwich, and pick up I-395 South. Take Exit 5 (formerly Exit 78) onto Route 32 South. College entrance is 3 miles on right.

From New York City (about 3 hours) and the West:
Exit 83 from I-95 Northbound. Turn left at the end of the ramp, proceed up hill to intersection, and then take right at light onto Route 32 North. College entrance is one mile on left.

From Boston (about 2.5 hours), Providence (1 hour) and the East:
Take I-95 South. Just over the Groton Gold Star Bridge, take Exit 84 North from southbound I-95 to Route 32 North. College entrance is one mile on left.

From Worcester (about 1.5 hours) and points North:
Take I-395 South to Exit 5 (formerly Exit 78) onto Route 32 South. College entrance is 3 miles on right.

From Hartford (1 hour) and points north (Western Massachusetts, Vermont):
I-91 South to Hartford. Take I-84 East to Route 2 East to I-395 South. Take Exit 5 (formerly Exit 78) onto Route 32 South. College entrance is 3 miles on right.

From the Cross Sound/Long Island Ferry (15 minutes):
Exit the ferry slip area and take a right on Water Street. Follow the signs for Route 32 North. College entrance is one mile on left.


By Plane

Airports serving the region include:

Groton-New London Airport (GON) offers no commercial service at this time.


By Train

Two rail services stop at New London's Union Station:

Union Station is less than 10 minutes from campus by taxi or car.


By Ferry

Two ferry services bring visitors to New London:

The ferry landing is less than 10 minutes from campus by taxi or car.


By Bus

SEAT has a bus stop just for Conn. It is located on the west side of campus, across from the Williams Street campus entrance, just south of the Arboretum entrance.


Parking On Campus

Admission Visitors: There is a dedicated parking lot at the Office of Admission, in Horizon House. If the lot is full, the South Lot is the next option closest to the building.

Other Visitors: For events at Palmer Auditorium, Cummings Arts Center, Evans Hall or Fortune Concert Hall, park in the South Lot. For events at the College Center at Crozier-Williams (Cro) or Shain Library, there is limited visitor parking in front of those buildings. You can also park in the North Lot. For events at Tansill Theater, park in the North Lot.
