Google Docs


Google Docs is a Google Apps application that allows you to:

  • Create text documents, charts, visual aids, spreadsheets, forms, and presentations and share and publish them online.
  • Upload any document in any format.
  • Download documents to use with other programs.
  • Keep track of all changes in a Google document and revert back to previous changes if necessary.
  • Email documents directly from Google Docs.

You can collaborate on these documents with as many people as you desire, with multiple people able to work on a document together in real-time. Best of all, sharing and collaborating takes only a few seconds to set up.

You can also upload any type of file to Google Docs to share with others, or store securely. The total size of all files uploaded, but not converted to a Google Doc format, can not exceed 1GB. The maximum file size for individual files that are uploaded an converted to a Google Doc format are:

  • Documents: 2MB
  • Spreadsheets: 2MB
  • Presentations: 10MB
  • Drawings: No limit

There is no limit on the total file size for all of your Google Doc-formatted files.
