Configuring MacMail

Using Mac Mail

These instructions will guide you in setting up your Conn College email account with MacMail.

Click on the Mail icon in the dock and Select Preferences under the Mail pull down menu.
The following screen should appear. Click +.
Enter the account information.

 

  • Email Address: Your email address @conncoll.edu
  • Full Name: Your Full Name
  • Password: Your Password

 

Click Continue and enter the following screen with the information below, substituting your User Name and Password.  The incoming mail server is IMAP, and is holly.conncoll.edu.

 


 

Click Continue and enter your Outgoing Mail server information as seen below, again substituting your own User Name and Password.  The Outgoing Mail Server is smtp.conncoll.edu.

Click Continue and configure your Outgoing Mail Security with SSL enabled, using NTLM Authentication and the conncoll domain. 

Upon finishing the mail configuration, go to the Advanced tab of the preferences window.  Change the port to 988, Authentication to NTLM, and the domain to conncoll. 

 

Setting up the Address Book
The address book can be used to look up other users email addresses on campus.
