Network Settings for Mac OSX

On Campus Network Settings



Click on the Apple in the upper left hand corner. Go to Location and select Network Preferences. Mac OSX 10.2
From the Network Control Panel Click on the button to the right of Location: select New Location. In the Window that appears next enter Campus for the location name and click OK. Mac OSX 10.2
The name Campus should appear in the button to the right of Location:. Now click on the button to the right of Show: and select Built-in Ethernet. Mac OSX 10.2
Select the TCP/IP tab, if it isn´t already selected, and click on the button next to configure: . Select Using DHCP. Click on the Apply Now button at the bottom of the window. You are now ready to begin using your Macintosh on the Colleges network. Mac OSX 10.2
The following screen is optional and will allow you to perform file sharing. Be aware that the college is not responsible should your machine loose data or obtain a virus through file sharing. Be careful when using this feature. Select the Appletalk tab and select the Make Appletalk Active box. Configure the rest of the window as shown. Click on the Apply Now button at the bottom of the window. Mac OSX 10.2
