The art department sponsors changing exhibits  by faculty, students and visiting artists in the galleries of Cummings Arts Center.  View the Online Calendar of Events for dates of these exhibitions and all art-department sponsored events throughout the academic year. Bus Trips to NYC

The art and art history departments also sponsor Saturday round-trip bus trips to New York City several times throughout the academic year with stops at major art museums and galleries. Reservations are required, in advance, are non-refundable and may be made through the art department assistant.

The Leo & Ann Higdon Annual Art Award

Established in 2007 by Connecticut College President Leo I. Higdon and his wife Ann, avid art collectors, the prizes are given to outstanding art students. Liz Cryan '07 was the inaugural first-prize recipient followed by Samantha Wickman in 2008.
