Connecticut College invites applications for a visiting assistant professor in plant physiology for the 2008-09 academic year. Evidence of teaching excellence required; Ph.D. preferred.
Position involves teaching a course in comparative physiology (using examples of plants and animals, fall semester), participation in introductory courses (one lab section each semester), and an upper -evel course in the candidate's area of strength (spring semester). Teaching load is 3 courses a semester; labs count as a course.
An important teaching resource is the Connecticut College Arboretum with 450 acres of natural and experimental areas, a tidal salt marsh and access to the Thames estuary.
