Interdisciplinarity

Many history majors pursue double majors with other programs or departments such as government, American studies and the languages.

The American studies program is directed by Professor Catherine M. Stock, a member of the history department, and other department members are associated faculty active in Africana studies, East Asian languages and cultures, gender and women's studies, medieval studies, and Russian and East European studies.

History majors are also well represented in the College's interdisciplinary centers, particularly the Toor Cummings Center for International Studies and the Liberal Arts, and the Holleran Center for Community Action and Public Policy.

You may also decide to seek a certificate in Museum Studies.
