Mathematics Majors and Minors

Study Away for Math Majors

Most mathematics majors at Connecticut College study abroad during their junior year. Department requirements are structured to allow students to study away for a semester and still fulfill the requirements of the major by their senior year.

While most study abroad programs either have no focus or one which is different from mathematics, there are a few exceptions:

Budapest Semesters in Mathematics

The Budapest Semesters in Mathematics program is a study abroad opportunity for North American undergraduate students in Budapest, Hungary.  Several Connecticut College students have gone through this program in recent years.

Math In Moscow

The Independent University of Moscow offers a one-semester study abroad program in mathematics and computer science. Students from America and Canada are eligible for the program, and courses are taught in English by Russian mathematicians.
