Interdisciplinarity in Mathematics
The mathematics department offers several courses aimed to engage students from other discplines, and members of the department work with and have published research with members of other departments.
Courses geared toward economics, physics, computer science, and the biological sciences are regularly offered by the department. In addition, we offer a minor in applied statistics, and a tract for the major in statistics.
Courses in statistics, finance, methods for the physical sciences and computation, among others, illustrate the applied side of mathematics.
