Many mathematics majors at Connecticut College study away during their junior year.  Departmental requirements are designed to allow students to study away for a semester and still be able to complete the major by the end of the senior year.

While students are generally not expected to take mathematics courses during their semester away or abroad, some choose to supplement their coursework at Connecticut College by participating in programs specifically designed for mathematics majors:

Budapest Semesters in Mathematics

The Budapest Semesters in Mathematics program is a study abroad opportunity for North American undergraduate students in Budapest, Hungary.  Several Connecticut College students have participated in this program in recent years.

Math In Moscow

The Independent University of Moscow offers a one-semester study abroad program in mathematics and computer science.  Students from the United States and Canada are eligible for the program, and courses are taught in English by Russian mathematicians.
