Study Away

Many philosophy majors take advantage of the numerous excellent opportunities for studying philosophy abroad, including programs at world-class universities in Germany, England, Scotland, France, Australia, Nepal and Tibet and elsewhere.

In recent years, for example, philosophy majors have studied at such institutions as the University of Freiburg, the Sorbonne, St. Andrews University and the University of Edinburgh. Indeed, all of the department's faculty have spent time of their own studying abroad. We enthusiastically encourage students to do the same and are also available for consultation and advice for those students contemplating the possibility.
