Study Away
The Slavic Studies department offers a variety of opportunities for study away, such as SATA Prague, TRIP opportunities to Russia, and study abroad programs at international universities. The department encourages its majors to study abroad during their junior year through one of the following approved programs:
- American Councils for International Education (ACTR/ACCELS) program in Moscow, St. Petersburg, and Vladimir
- Middlebury College program in Irkutsk, Moscow, and Yaroslavl
- School for International Training (SIT) program in Siberia and St. Petersburg
- Smolney Institute/Bard College program in St. Petersburg
- Trinity College program in Moscow
The department organizes its own SATA program in Prague, Czech Republic, which has been offered four times since 1999.
In Spring 2008, the department is conducting a fully-funded TRIP Russia for students taking the Elementary Russian sequence. Visit the TRIP blog.
