Study Away
The Slavic Studies department offers a variety of opportunities for study away and encourages its majors to study abroad during their junior year through one of the following approved programs:
- American Councils for International Education (ACTR/ACCELS) program in Moscow, St. Petersburg and Vladimir
- SRAS, The School of Russian and Asian Studies, which runs programs in nine locations in Russia and countries of the CIS
The department conducted its first fully-funded TRIP Russia in Spring 2008 for students taking the Elementary Russian sequence, followed by a second TRIP Russia in 2009 and a third TRIP Russia in Spring 2011. The department regularly applies for funding for such course-related TRIPs.
