Departmental Awards

The department of Slavic Studies offers four awards annually for exceptional work by its students:

• The Vladimir Papov Prize for best progress in first-year Russian
  2007 Recipient: Lacia Ilena Smith '10
  
• The Svetlana Kasem-Beg Memorial Prize for excellence in spoken Russian
  2007 Recipient: Rachel Jeanne Eschle '07
  
• Best translation of Slavic Fiction
  2007 Recipient: Susana Paton Hancock '07
  
• The Slavic Studies Award for consistent excellence in Slavic Studies over four years
  2007 Recipient: Susana Paton Hancock
  

Awards are given at the College's annual Awards Banquet.
