Mengjun Liu joined the Connecticut College faculty in 2010 as a visiting lecturer in Chinese.

She holds a master's degree in linguistics and applied linguistics.

Liu teaches intermediate Chinese and intensive intermediate Chinese (the latter with Tek-wah King.)

Liu has collaborated on two books:

1. Chinese for Dummies, Audio set. Mengjun Liu and Mike Packevicz. Wiley Publishing, Inc., 2007.

2. Co-compiler, Chinese Grammar Made Easy, a Chinese grammar resource book, with chief editor, Professor Jianhua Bai. Yale University Press, 2008.
